ChatGPT-assisted Lesson Plan Development

Stacey Corle and Leigh Ann Haefner discuss how they infuse student use of ChatGPT into the lesson planning and revision process for their students. Students interact with the LLM for a few assignments. First, students are guided through the creation of a sample lesson plan. The students critique the LLM generated lesson plan and identify strengths/weaknesses of the plan. Students then use ChatGPT to assist them in creating their own lesson plans. They use prompt engineering to generate a draft that the students then adapt.
