Welcome & Opening Panel Discussion – Instructor Days, Fall 2023

Format: All Commonwealth Campuses, Online, Recording

For 2023, the 3 Commonwealth Campus Atherton Teaching Award recipients are Joseph Cuiffi, assistant teaching professor of electro-mechanical engineering technology at Penn State New Kensington; Megan Lorenz, lecturer in business administration at Penn State York; and Brenna Traver, associate professor of biology at Penn State Schuylkill.

Join us for the plenary session in which 2 of the recipients will discuss their use of effective, active, and engaging pedagogy, their passion for teaching and students’ learning, and their approaches to teaching and learning activities.

The George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching Award is presented each year to six faculty members who have devoted substantial effort to and developed a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching. It is named for the seventh president of the University (1882-1907).
