Strategies to Engage Students in Hybrid and Zoom Courses

Format: All Commonwealth Campuses

In the rapidly evolving landscape of education, maintaining student engagement in hybrid and Zoom courses presents unique challenges and opportunities. This workshop offers an exploration of effective engagement strategies from the experiences of seasoned instructors. [New Paragraph] Given the importance of inclusion amidst diversity, this presentation will present, as well as sample, a journaling assignment in which students define a studied, core-Jewish value, relate the value to their own birth culture, and finally focus the value to a recent life experience. Community building activities, knowledge checks, and group discussions that deepen students’ connections with course material will also be presented.
