Meeting Students in a New Reality: Dealing with Accessibility, Engagement and Technology for Immersive Experiences in Virtual Reality Across the Curriculum

Format: All Commonwealth Campuses, Online, Recording

Immersive experiences provide great platforms for learning but implementing them in courses can sometimes be difficult. Virtual Reality technologies can help alleviate some of those issues and provide students with the ability to travel around the world and interact with places and objects in ways we only dreamed of as students. We invite a conversation about how the use of these tools can spark student engagement, increase accessibility, lead to meaningful creative and analytical work, and create “spaces” of learning and connection. Come learn some tools for engaging students with VR and tricks we used to overcome challenges in humanities and science classrooms.
