Sarah Kettell

Education Programmer/Analyst

Sarah first came to Penn State University as an undergraduate student and interned at the Center for Teaching Excellence. After graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science, she joined the Center full-time as an Educational Programmer Analyst. In this role, she assists faculty and instructional designers with a variety of educational technologies and creates customized applications to meet a variety of educational needs.

Prior to her work at Penn State, Sarah was a Peer Tutor at Central Pennsylvania’s Community College (HACC), where she tutored students across a variety of subjects, including mathematics, programming, physics, and chemistry. She also has over 8 years of experience as a freelance graphic and web designer, developing websites, logos, and print materials to meet the needs of a variety of small businesses across North America. During this time she created and shared an assortment of learning materials to help others develop their skills in web and graphic design.

Along with her bachelor’s degree, Sarah also obtained a minor in Sociology. She strives to combine these disciplines to better understand how technology can be utilized to improve society and create more equitable learning opportunities for all.
